Tools: Quirk SearchStatus

Quirk SearchStatus is a free add-on for FireFox.

After installing SearchStatus, it will show up on FireFox’s status line and will be ready to give you information as you surf the web. It will show you details about Google PageRank and Alexa rank of the current page, along with SEOmoz rank and Compete rank.

One of the most important features on SearchStatus is that it can highlight nofollow links directly on the page. This way you can know if writing an entry in a forum or commenting on a blog, will assist you in promoting you site ranking on search engines.

Among the other features SearchStatus have are Link report, Meta Tags stripping, Keyword Density statistics, Index and Backlinks status for Google, Yahoo and MS Live. You can also query WhoIs database and see the history   of the page on archive.org.

I use Quirk SearchStatus regularly as I search for forums and blogs to promote my sites, search for link partners and when spying after competitors.
